UPDATE: June 17, 2025:
The Topanga bear and her three(!!) cubs were seen on Hillside (across from Froggy’s) the night of June 15. A resident on Facebook, who lives right off of TCB between Cafe 27 and Topanga Living Cafe, reported the bears also visited her beehives in the middle of the night on June 16, and helped themselves to a tasty snack!
Yellow 2291 (aka BB14), last seen around Topanga in the fall last year, has been recently spotted with two cubs on Saddle Peak and in Old Canyon. Tracked by a GPS collar, she was originally tagged by the California Dept. of Fish & Wildlife, which continues to share data with the National Park Service.
