The upcoming Topanga Town Council meeting will be held in-person at the Topanga Library
Residents are invited to the next Topanga Town Council general meeting on Wednesday, November 20th, at 6:00pm, which will feature a community roundtable discussion. This [literal] roundtable discussion will be our final public meeting of 2024, as everyone begins to hunker down and depart for the holiday season.
Imminent holiday festivities aside, this meeting will present an opportunity for residents to meaningfully participate in the discussion regarding ongoing roadwork (and road closures) on Topanga Canyon Blvd. We will also be getting clarity directly from the County on what is happening with respect to Short Term Rental (STR) Ordinance enforcement, Coastal Commission actions, and how/if the STR Ordinance applies to other hosting apps that facilitate camping and events.
Finally, we will hear from the Fire Department, CHP, and the Sheriff’s Department about the recent Red Flag events, nearby fires, public safety, traffic and related matters.

Urgent Response Needed: Help Topanga Meet the 2024 Firewise Goal
Of special mention is the looming Firewise deadline at the end of November, which determines whether or not Topanga will keep its Firewise designation (and insurance discount) in 2025. Currently, we are running about $500,000 behind last year’s submissions. We urge residents to be sure to submit all Firewise-related activities performed in 2024 into our FIREWISE reporting form by November 15th.*
