Caltrans TCB Road Closure Update – 5-28-24

Caltrans TCB Road Closure Map

Clearance work is progressing well.

Trucks are hauling away the material to various locations from about 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., traveling on closed section of SR-27 to Pacific Coast Highway (State Route 1). Motorists can expect to see more truck traffic on PCH during off-peak traffic hours.

A pedestrian barrier will soon be installed at approximately postmile 2.1 so residents can walk or bicycle on the closed section of SR-27, which remains closed to vehicles from Grand View Drive to PCH. The pedestrian barrier is expected to be done soon, likely Wednesday (5/29).

Caltrans is frequently monitoring the temporary signals at Tuna Canyon Road to ensure the system is working properly. But motorists can expect delays at peak travel times depending on the amount of traffic.

Caltrans has installed fences to block access to the work zone. Please respect this so we can proceed quickly and safely. Interruptions causes all work to stop.
