Los Angeles County Issues Excessive Heat Warning

An excessive heat warning remains in effect from today until Monday. Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures of 95-112 and abnormally warm overnight temperatures. The State of California has issued a
Flex Alert urging residents and businesses to conserve energy due to the heat wave.
LA County is opening Cooling Centers (air-conditioned sites with water and seating where people can stay as long as they like, until closing time) throughout the County.
Here are the hours of operation for the Topanga Library 'Cooling Center', through Monday. Please spread the word to all who may need this service!
Monday, 8/29 -Thursday, 9/1: 10 am - 8 pm
Friday, 9/2 - Saturday, 9/3: 10 am - 6pm
Sunday, 9/4: 11am - 7pm (No library service 11-1/5-7 but building is open)
Monday, 9/5, LABOR DAY: 11am-7pm (No library service all day, but building is open)
