Are you experiencing coverage/connection issues in and around Topanga that have developed recently (within the last year or so)? The Topanga Town Council is working with other nonprofits in the community and County officials to figure out what's going on and how the issue can be resolved as quickly as possible.
Email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to share your experiences with us. Ideally, giving us the specific information below within the next 24 hours will be appreciated, as we are meeting with some of the carriers now. We will, however, continue to accept information you email us by April 10th so that it can be addressed at an upcoming TEMTF meeting.
For those experiencing dead zones or reduced coverage issues at home or at a business, carriers need certain information to identify and resolve the cell reception issue. Your information will only be shared with the provider you indicate and the County emergency communications liaison so they can check the designated line(s) and find out the area(s) where coverage is an issue. The information you submit to us will not be shared with anyone else.
PLEASE PROVIDE:
- Your name
- Cell phone provider
- Cell phone number(s) affected
- Home or business address affected
- Recent date(s) affected - Since when? Frequency? Still having coverage issues? (Note: We know that communication during Southern California Edison power outages is another issue of concern to the community. That issue is being addressed by the Topanga Emergency Management Task Force, however, not for this particular survey.)
- If you cannot provide a specific address where coverage is an issue, then please provide cross streets or coordinates.
The Town Council knows that cell reception is important for day-to-day communication and is especially critical during a medical emergency. The more information residents and business owners can provide us as soon as possible may help the cell carriers to resolve the situation sooner.
