Updates from the office of U.S. Representative Ted Lieu (D-Los Angeles County):
Seeking More COVID-19 Relief
On February 9, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles County) led a letter with 15 Members of the California delegation to President Biden expressing support for the state’s request for additional federal assistance — in the form of medical personnel and other resources —to help fight the COVID-19 surge in California.

The Veteran Homelessness Crisis
Senator Dianne Feinstein and Representative Ted Lieu (both D- Calif.) today introduced the West Los Angeles VA Campus Improvement Act, a bill that would allow the West Los Angeles VA Campus to use proceeds from property leasing to build additional housing for homeless veterans. Under current Department of Veterans Affairs regulations, the West LA VA can only use lease proceeds for campus beautification.
“As a veteran, I know firsthand how important it is to ensure our veterans receive the support and care they need," said Rep. Lieu. "From my first days in Congress, I have made it a priority to improve the West Los Angeles VA, which for too long failed to serve our veterans in the manner they deserve."
