Millions of people worldwide will practice how to Drop, Cover, and Hold On on October 15, during Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills. This year marks the 13th ShakeOut, which began in Southern California in 2008. 

While Alaska has the most earthquakes in the United States, California has the most damaging earthquakes, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

What we do now will determine our quality of life after our next big earthquake. Are you prepared to survive and recover quickly? The Great California ShakeOut is an annual opportunity to practice how to be safer during big earthquakes.
