LA County Water Restrictions - A Letter and Survey From the Topanga Town Council

On June 1, 2022, the Los Angeles County Waterworks Districts issued mandatory water restrictions due to severe drought in California, accumulating over the past three years. The Topanga Town Council is currently in communication with local and state officials on how to create better and smarter water management policies that address allotment and equity issues. The Town Council is seeking input from residents about their questions, concerns, and challenges with the new water restrictions.

POSTPONED:  Topanga Town Council postpones local virtual candidate forum for 3rd District Supervisor race

It has recently come to our attention that two of the candidates for Third District Supervisor, Senator Stern and Senator Hertzberg, have been notified by Senate President pro Tempore, Toni Atkins, that they must be prepared to stay very late in legislative session all next week for final bill voting and legislative deadlines. The odds of their being compelled to miss the Town Council’s Candidates Forum originally scheduled for May 25th are all but certain.  In light of these circumstances we have concluded that the proper course of action at this point is to reschedule the forum.
