Post-Prop. 64, LA County Grapples with Regulating Cannabis, Seeks Feedback from Residents

In November 2016, LA County voters approved Proposition 64, which legalized recreational possession, cultivation, and use of cannabis for adults over the age of 21.

LA County is currently navigating the challenges of regulating cannabis at the local level to figure out zoning and where marijuana businesses can be located, how they should be operated, how licensing will work, and more.

The LA County Board of Supervisors are seeking feedback from residents on these issues. There are several ways to get involved and stay informed.

In July, the county will begin hosting community meetings in each supervisorial district. (More info on that as it becomes available.)
